Procedure to delete company file in QuickBooks

  • Run QuickBooks go to File, then to Open Company or Restore Company.

  • Here, click on Open a company file, then go for Next.

  • Choose the Company file, then hit on Open.

  • Press F2 and check the company file location. 

  • Note the location, then exit QuickBooks and visit the same location.

  • Hit a click on company file, then press Shift + Delete to permanently delete the file. Else, simply press Delete, to keep an option of restoring it from the Recycle bin in future.
