Before you begin this exercise you need to find a step, a chair, a box or a bench which is high enough for you when you put your foot on it and once you got these things with you, you can begin. 

You need to start with facing to the step, the chair and the box or bench and put your right foot on the step. 

After this you should shift your weight of your entire body to right foot to step up on the bench and then bring left foot up together with the right foot.

Step down with both your feet on the floor and then repeat this step for almost 10 steps and make sure you do this step ups for three sets daily. 

If you are comfortable with this basic exercise then, you can advance to the next level where you have to repeat the same exercise for the same time but with dumbbells in your hands which will increase the level of the exercise.
