Diablo 4 Gold isn't the only controversy that Blizzard is currently facing in the past, with Overwatch 2 being rather controversial with complaints and accusations of sexual harassment and a sexist office culture. Although Blizzard is by no means the only major game developer to be hit by such allegations the situation has nonetheless merged with the microtransactions issue to make players not particularly well-disposed toward Blizzard at the moment. Because of all the backlash, Blizzard has had to make it clear to players that the coming Diablo 4 won't be anything similar to Diablo 4. It's possible but the introduction of cosmetic microtransactions in the next Diablo installment could mean that players are a bit wary.

The launch of Diablo 4 is still recent and Diablo 4 is at least a few months away, so the criticism and doubts feel fresh. Diablo 2: Resurrected may be enough to overcome the shortcomings of its launch, but Blizzard hasn't really been among the top gamers' choices lately. Diablo 4 is already a completely different beast from the disappointing Diablo 4. as it's an expensive game made exclusively for consoles and PCs. There will be multiplayer components and PvP encounters, and even though Diablo 4 will have a vast open world to explore, it is not an MMO.

These features alone ought to distance it enough away from Diablo 4. but players do sometimes have long memories for errors made by developers. If Blizzard is more transparent with features and any paid elements as it was in Diablo 4. it should be able to lure gamers back in some way. Diablo 2: Resurrected isn't quite as hated as Diablo 4. but it wasn't a huge step towards the future of the series. It was a fun hit of nostalgia, especially for long-time players but it was not able to attract new players. Gaming is at its best when they have an active that is engaged, growing and a player base, and cheap Diablo 4 Gold is Blizzard's chance to build another. There are numerous new possibilities that the Diablo franchise could go in but imitating old games or using excessive microtransactions is surely not the right way to go.
