Starting a fitness business isn't easy, and it's even harder to know what you're doing from the very start. There are so many resources out there that want me to feel guilty for spending money on something I may not need, or only paying me a small transaction fee for my hard work.

But I've done my research, and here is what I wish someone had told me about starting a fitness business when I first started:

  1. You don't have to spend $100,000 on marketing to succeed.
  2. Make sure your client knows exactly what they're buying.
  3. Building an email list gets easier the more clients you have.
  4. Selling membership packages will not pay the bills.
  5. You don't need to be fully licensed.
