5G technology is a new cellular network standard that will become available in the near future. Compared to 4G, 5G offers increased speeds, capacity, and reliability.

5G networks will use smaller antennas and more numerous "small cells" to achieve higher broadband speeds than current networks. These small cells will be placed in public places such as shopping malls, airports, stadiums, and other high-traffic areas. This approach will allow providers to cover a broader area with longer range connections.

5G also uses different radio frequencies than 4G networks. Theoretically, this could allow providers to send signals through walls and through people (using millimeter wave radiation). However, there are still many unknowns about how 5G will function in practice.

4G LTE networks are already widely available around the world and provide good performance for streaming video and online gaming. Most 4G phones work well on LTE networks, but 5G devices are still being developed and may not work with all carriers yet.
