If reports from Friday are to be believed, the Braves and Rockies toplay baseball.

What started as Tebow'sseemingly pie-in-the-sky dream to become a pro baseball player has escalated in recent days into aIs this really gonna happen? Nah. ... But seriously, is it?situation.

MORE:

Neither the Braves nor the Rockies has publicly confirmed their interest, of course, so thelevel of that alleged interest is 100 percent up to interpretation and speculation. But keen-eyed observers are sure to recognize that there are very compelling Todd Gurley Jersey reasons for each team to signthe former Heisman Trophywinner and puthim on the fast track to the big leagues, perhaps as soon as this season.

Here are those very compelling reasons:

Tebow to the Braves

Unle s the Braves'roster improves significantly, it could be a challenge to Cory Littleton Jersey fill SunTrust Park when it opens next season. Sure, the early games will probably be well-attended, but long-term attendance succe s could prove elusive until the rebuild is complete. Enter Tebow.

With his cult-hero status throughout much of the Southeast, Tebow would almost certainly be an attendance magnet for Atlanta. Think Jeff Francoeur times 1,000. Speaking of Francoeur, with Frenchy traded to the Marlins, the Braves lack that "intangibles" guy in the clubhouse. You know, that guy fan favorite who always plays hard and can be counted on to sell a healthy amount of shirseys, regardle s of actual talent. Think of the merchandising.

As for playing time, well, Tebow wouldn't even have to play much. Just the chance that he might play would probably be enough to get butts in those SunTrustseats. Sure, he could pinch hit or take the field in blowouts or in long, roster-depleting extra-inning affairs, or maybe serve as a DH during interleague match-ups,but mostly he'd be Eric Dickerson Jersey like a goodwill fan amba sador signing autographs and posing for pictures during batting practiceto keep everyone interested as the Bravesprepare to be a playoff contender again in, most realistically, 2018.

Or, in what might bethe most realistic scenario, general manager John Coppolella could sign him just so he can flip him to the Diamondbacks for A.J. Pollock. Because that's the kind of tradethat happens when Coppolella calls the Arizona front office.

Tebow to the Rockies

The Rockies have had a surprisingly good year, given what was expected by most observers coming into the season. But they're still under .500, and their best Story line of the year, rookie sensation Trevor Story, is out for the season with an injury. Enter Tebow.

If Colorado wants to give its fans a liftand end its season Jack Youngblood Jersey with a bang, albeit a blatant gimmicky bang, they should sign Tebow and get him to Coors Field immediately. Any remaining sadne s over the lo s of Story would likely vanish quickly. The Mile High City could put away the joints and insteadget high onTebow Fever. As with the Braves' scenario, he wouldn't nece sarily have to play. Just imagine the ripped Mr. Tebow hitting mammoth batting practice bombs in that thin Denver air. Ooooooh. Aaaaaaah. It would be a sight to see.

When he did get into games again, mostly blowouts and17-inning tilts there's no better place that would reward Tebow's power-hitting ability than Coors Field. Should Tebow connect on, say, an Aroldis Chapman fastball, that's what would come to be known in Denver as The Drive.

And, of course, Tebow already has a history in Denver, having led the Broncos to the playoffs and a playoff win! in 2011.So he's already kind of Joe Namath Jersey a hero there. Surely that goodwill would carry over with the city's baseball fans. And if Tebow's second coming in Denver plays well, who knows what 2017 might hold?

I admit thata Tebow debut in Denver in 2016is perhaps the longest of longshots. But the idea of him hitting bombs in Coors Field is intriguing enough for the Rockies to think beyond this season. Think of the merchandising opportunities: It wouldn't be just jerseys and shirseys. The bats he uses to launch those BP homers? Those would be sold for $500 apiece in the team store every night, with inscriptions: Tim Tebow batting practice homer. 9/30/16. 550 feet. People will come, Ray.

As it stands now, Tebow Dominique Easley Jersey 's best pro baseball shot appears to be with the of the Atlantic League or the of the Venezuelan winter league. But if reports of interest from the Braves and Rockies aretrue, we could be in for a whole new bout with Tebowmania.
